Sustain the life of kids thousand of miles away with one click!

One in nine people around the world go hungry EVERY day.... As you look at your pantry, cupboards and fridge you may think it's bare.... but when you think of the homes with dirt floors and literally not a single thing to eat except the bugs crawling in their dirt floor, are you really sparse? Or could you make something out of the ingredients you have? How many times have you let your leftovers get old and tossed them out? Did you give your toddler too much and she just threw it on the floor any way? Did you know:

Here are some gut wrenching and heart pounding stats for you:

  • Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth.

  • The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished.

  • Asia is the continent with the most hungry people - two thirds of the total. The percentage in southern Asia has fallen in recent years but in western Asia it has increased slightly.

  • Sub-Saharan Africa is the region with the highest prevalence (percentage of population) of hunger. One person in four there is undernourished.

  • Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year.

  • One out of six children -- roughly 100 million -- in developing countries is underweight.

  •  One in four of the world's children are stunted. In developing countries the proportion can rise to one in three.

  •  If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million.

  • 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone.

  • WFP calculates that US$3.2 billion is needed per year to reach all 66 million hungry school-age children. ref: https://www.wfp.org/hunger/stats

Food for thought, or no food for thought.... If you could donate your excess food or pay an additional $25/mo to feed 5 starving children or a mother and her 4 kids..... would you? I love opportunities to forgo a guilty pleasure to give back to a mama trying to care for her babies! We are so fortunate in this country, and in many others around the world, yet we often complain about what we don't have! As I searched for a charity that checked all my boxes, it was hard.... there are a lot of amazing charities-yet they don't check all my boxes.... You may be wondering what my boxes are and think I must be super picky... I don't think I am though.... My boxes include:

1- Provide hunger relief in a nutritional way.

2- Owners of organization participate in the service they provide.

3- Do more than a one stop drop. I want a charity that provides long lasting results.

4- I want a charity the offers the ability to give back for multiple budget types.

5- I want a charity I can easily put in my budget, give back monthly, and automatically. There are a few charities that check off all these boxes... My favorite one is the Kyani Caring Hands Charity!

"Through the Caring Hands Program, Kyäni brings hope to people who, without help from people like you, have no way of helping themselves. There are people who are literally entrapped by poverty. They live day in and day out with no other goal than to keep themselves alive for another day. There is no thought of education, career, or even of improving the life they have. There is no hope.
Kyäni Caring Hands is a charitable foundation created and supported by the founders, members, and executives of Kyäni, Inc., a global health and wellness company that provides people around the world with the opportunity to improve their lives and the lives of others through wellness and opportunity. Kyäni's founders believe that a true measure of success is not what you have, but what you do for others. Caring Hands fulfills that belief by offering a way for everyone to improve the lives of others, and offer hope to those who have none.
When you give to Caring Hands, your donation is used to bring hope to children in need by improving access to nutrition, sanitation, and education. With the help of Caring Hands donations, Kyäni builds and improves schools, provides sanitation training, supplies, and facilities for entire communities, and delivers life-sustaining nutrition to areas throughout the world that are struggling with poverty or natural disasters. Since 2010, Caring Hands has performed service throughout the world, rendering aid in the event of disasters, coordinating service within our own communities, and organizing annual Caring Hands trips to perform hands-on service in areas that need it the most. Along with dedicating a dollar from every purchase, Kyäni has used its expertise in both nutrition and agriculture to develop Potato Pak–life-sustaining nutrition packs that are donated to those who lack the means to feed themselves. Each serving of Potato Pak is fortified with over 10 grams of protein and 34 grams of carbohydrates, along with essential vitamins and minerals, to deliver life-sustaining nutrition to people who have no means to feed themselves. With the help of donors all over the world, Kyäni has provided more than two million servings of Potato Pak for children and others in need across the globe."

What a beautiful mission and vision that is! What you don't see on this page is that they maintain a presence where they serve. They don't just do a one time visit and move on... they go back and maintain what they started, they provide scholarships and you can donate a scholarship to help someone get the education they need to better their community, and in turn make a difference in the world. How cool is that? Not just a food drop, not just some supplies, not just irrigation and school building, and not just scholarship opportunities.... but ALL of that! Does it check my boxes? Let's review: 1- Provide hunger relief in a nutritional way? YES- dehydrated potato paks packed with protein and life sustaining nutrients... Not just nutrients, but the nutrients we need to survive!

2- Owners of organization participate in the service they provide? Every trip they go on, the owners and their families are there in the trenches, getting their hands dirty. They really care

and want to make a difference.

3- Do more than a one stop drop. I want a charity that provides long lasting results? Yes and Yes! They maintain their presence in the areas they serve and they continue to improve the systems they put in place.

4- I want a charity the offers the ability to give back for multiple budget types? They have one pak donations starting at $24.95 which will provide 5 servings. They have paks that go all the way up to a $395 scholarship pak that provides 100 servings and 1 month of tuition and supplies to one student. Cant afford the $24.95? No problem! you can donate dollar amounts too! $1+... It all adds up and makes a significant difference!

5- I want a charity I can easily put in my budget give back monthly and automatically? Yes, you can put a charity donation on auto ship! Not to mention, every time someone orders ANYTHING from their site or business partners, they donate $1 to the charity.

Added bonus- it's tax deductible.

This is just one of the charities I love! I will post about more and different types... Animals, schools, kids, abuse recovery, and many more! Give back to those in need, it's good for your soul! God blesses those who sacrifice for others... Don't believe in God? Do you believe in Karma? Have you ever done a service for someone and instantly felt that joy that comes from giving to others less fortunate than yourself?

We often get lost in the service of our family- but that service is more like indentured servitude! haha! I'm only kind of joking, but your soul needs to feel good and uplifted. Truly! Maybe it's not this opportunity or maybe it's this charity one month and a different charity another month... OR maybe you want to give monthly to this amazing charity- There will be more opportunities shared, but I urge you to give back in some capacity that is not focused on yourself or your kids... Take the opportunity to share the experience and opportunity with your family. Let your whole family get involved and feel the joy of being selfless. Let's minimize the statistics and rise together to make the world a better place. Never forget, YOU are worth it!
