Grateful Hearts and Peaceful Minds


Starting your day off in the same bad mood you went to bed with is awful, isn't it? You thought 'Hey I will just go to bed and I will feel better in the morning....' then you wake up and you still feel moody and crappy! So how do you get out of that funk and cycle? Have you ever heard of a gratitude journal? I know, I know.... but guess what... they ACTUALLY work! But it doesn't have to be a JOURNAL... All you need is a piece of paper... But if you find it hard to think about what you are grateful for, there ARE journals that prompt you to think or you can use my PDF on the home page, in the footer, for inspiration until you can write your own gratitude lines.


When I started the work on myself it was really hard for me to be grateful for anything but the textbook answers.. "I'm thankful for my family, I am thankful for my job, I am thankful for a working car, I am thankful I can put food on the table...I'm grateful for a place to live..." Those are all incredible things to be thankful for, however,if that's all you can come up with, no wonder you are miserable and waking up grouchy every day.


You really gotta dig deep and get specific! Take 5 minutes with my custom sheet. Print it out for

every day- or download it so you can see it and just write your answers on a piece of lined notebook paper... I will prompt you to dig a little deeper and REALLy find what you are thankful for... It can be tricky if you currently aren't thankful for it... But the more you proactively practice being grateful for things in your life, the more you become grateful and you see the beauty in what you have. There are prompts for family, spiritual, material, out of the ordinary, and specialty gratitudes.. Maybe you aren't grateful for anything special right now, so leave it blank... But I encourage you to wake up, think about what you are thankful for, and then at the end of the night lead yourself into the next day by writing down 3 things you have BECOME thankful for during the day. It wakes you up with a positive attitude and puts you to bed with a positive attitude.
